High School Picture City, State, Country laurel Marital Status married How/where I met my spouse We were students at Millsaps together but did not get to know each other until we found ourselves taking the same course in Oxford, England in the summer of 1972. After the summer course, five of us bought a car for $100 (it drank as much oil as gas) and toured England, Wales and Scotland. On the way back from Scotland, the car (to no one's surprise) died. We signed the title in blank; put the Ace of Spades on the wind-shield wiper; left the car on the side of the road; hitchhiked to Heaththrow and flew home. That group of five produced two marriages (four kids) and one divorce.
